There will be an up charge for Walnut (extra cost to be determined). Walnut will be available as a special order item.

This creates a super strong part, as well as a stronger surface direction for the installation of the threaded lug, and for the counterbored bracket mounting holes.
#Ironwood designs vepr fm 11 stock set install
We machine a full length slot down the bottom of the guard, then glue and install a beam of the same laminate material, with the layers in the horizontal direction. The hand guard required several extra steps of preparation before machining. Our standard set will be in Laminate Birch, with recoil pad installed. Need to know how many of you actually want to purchase a set, so that we can get enough materials in house to cover that quantity, and to gauge how many of the brackets we'll need to order, (4 week turn around time from the metal fabricator). We plan on starting actual physical prep work for an initial run in approx. Accessories and spare parts for weapons are produced in Russia and the US with good record of durability, so very popular. Buttstocks, Grips, Mounting Systems, Magazines, Handguards, Muzzle Devices and other such rifle accessories - all of this you can buy from Legion. Im a self admitted AK noob, Id like to add a zhukov stock and an optic via RS Regulate mount and maybe an ALG trigger and thats about all. The third hole, ( middle ), has been left vacant for those who want to install a swivel or bipod stud, which is also a standard 10-32 thread pitch. We offer a wide inventory of AK builds at factory price. I like the idea of the Russian Vepr FM-AK47-11, but Il also heard of good things about the DDI offerings, and they offer a forged milled receiver for roughly the same price as the Vepr Molot. We will be providing standard 10-32 thread pitch, pan head, or flat head screws for the rear guard mount, and for the 2 bracket mounting screw holes. We fabricated in house, some threaded lugs for the rear mounting position on the hand guard. We had a local metal fabrication shop (a very good one ) make for us a very nice reproduction of the original early, Saiga sporter wood hand guard internal mounting bracket. A few changes were made to our original version, but the SVD look and feel are definitely still present in the design of the part. We thought it would be nice to create a sporter fore-end that looked like an original military design. The hand guard, however, is a new adaptation of our existing VEPR SVD hand guard. The butt stock is a part that we have made for many years, so it's not really a "new" part. These are just some rough pics for now, we will have the beauty shots done next week of the optional finished set as well.

I have attached 2 photos of our first set that we put together last week. It took us a while to get there, but we finally made it happen.
